Born and raised in Dublin, Celine Kiernan currently lives with her family in Co. Cavan. Trained at the SullivanBluth Studio, she worked for many years in film animation. Married and the bemused mother of two entertaining teens, Celine’s debut novel The Poison Throne was published by The O’Brien Press in October 2008. Since its release, it has captured the imagination of readers everywhere. The Poison Throne is the first book in The Moorehawke Trilogy and has seen American, British, Australian, German, Russian and Spanish rights to the book sold amid resounding praise from international publishers. Set in a fantasy version of medieval Europe, this tale of court intrigue, adventure and romance is a winning combination of imagination, powerful storytelling and characters whose presence will stay with the reader long after the book is finished. Fans are eagerly awaiting publication of Book 2 in the trilogy, The Crowded Shadows, in late 2009, while Celine is currently working on the final instalment of the trilogy.
